HCV related transplants decline in Japan

The Japanese Liver Transplantation Society reports 39 liver transplants in 2015 attributable to HCV-related hepatocellular diseases. This is the lowest number since 2008, showing the probable impact of increased direct-acting antiviral uptake, as well as an infected population potentially aging out of transplant eligibility.
