The participants of the meeting, organized by Linh-Vi Le of WPRO, included representatives from Cambodia, China, Republic of Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and Viet Nam. The Polaris team provided training on the use of the BRIGHT HCV disease burden and economic impact models to support national programs and track progress toward WHO targets. In addition, the team provided training on the PRoGReSs HBV disease burden model. Presenting at the meeting was also Dr. Yvan Hutin of WHO headquarters in Geneva who discussed the strategic information required for hepatitis elimination, effective use of models for decision-making, and economic analysis.
